X-Gal and IPTG Solution
Product Description
Stable X-gal/IPTG non-toxic solution for use in blue/white colony screening in expression studies. It does not contain the toxic DMF and DMSO. The solution contains 40mg/ml of IPTG (Isopropyl-β-D-Thiogalactopyranoside) and 40mg/ml of X-gal (5-Bromo-4-Chloro-3-Indolyl-β-D-Galactopyranoside). It is supplied in two very easy and convenient to use format: i. Dropper Bottle (cat# 21530077) ii. Spray Bottle (cat# 21530101).
1. Dropper bottle
i. Drop (2-3 drops) on desired bacterial plate
ii. Spread and ensure absorption (wait ~5-10 minutes) and
iii. Plate the transformed bacteria to be tested and incubate
10mg/ml
