Tris-buffered saline (TBS) has a liquid concentration of 10X and a pH level of 7.4. It contains 0.25M Tris/Tris-HCl, 0.027M KCl and 1.37M NaCl. It is a washing buffer used for alkaline phosphatase or peroxidase conjugates in Western blotting. This buffer is a molecular biology grade and is DNase-, RNase- and Protease-free. It is stored at room temperature.
Warnings: Can cause irritation to eyes, skin, and mucus membranes. Do not inhale or ingest. Wash thoroughly after handling.
