TBS Buffer with 5% BSA, Sterile, or Tris-buffered saline, maintains pH in immunoassays. It is used as a wash buffer and antibody diluent in Western blotting, as well as to reduce background noise in IHC. BSA, bovine serum albumin, is often used as a protein concentration standard.
