Product Description
MycoplasmAWAY™ is a propietary powerful combination of antibiotics that kills known Mycoplasma strains. It is safe for mammalian cell culture use. It can be used in routine cell culture to prevent Mycoplasma contamination or as a treatment to decontaminate cell lines or pirmary tissue cell cultures.
MycoplasmAway™ is supplied as a 100X concentrate that is typcially used at 1X (1: 100 dilution in culture media), but may be used at up to 2X for extreme decontamination. Decontamination treatment may require several passages of animal cell cultures, and it is recommended to wash cell cultures and add fresh media containing MycoplasmAway™ at least three times over a two-week (14 day) period. For adherent cells, this washing and decontamination cycle typically requires detaching the cells (for example, using Trypsin and EDTA) and then replating.
