POPSO [Piperazine-1,4-bis(2-hydroxy-3-propanesulfonic acid),dihydrate] buffer is prepared by adding NaOH to a solution of free acid. POPSO is categorized as a Good's buffer. POPSO buffer is partly degraded on autoclaving.
