BSA (bovine serum albumin) is conjugated to ceftazidime. The carboxyl group in ceftazidime is directly linked to an amine group in BSA, and/or carboxyl group in BSA is directly linked to the amine group in ceftazidime. The resultant conjugation solution is then buffer-exchanged with 20 mM PBS, pH 7.4.
Conjugated BSA-ceftazidime is used to recognize ceftazidime-specific antibodies by ELISA and lateral flow based immunoassay. Product can be stored below -20°C for up to 3 years.
