Product Description

Cesium Chloride is a unique compound used in a variety of molecular biology applications, including density gradient centrifugation for the isolation of plasmid DNA and RNA. This generally requires an expensive ultracentrifuge, but can also be performed in a normal centrifuge. Cesium Chloride is also used to determine the inorganic ions present in a reaction because of the crystal precipitates it produces.

bioWORLD's Cesium Chloride is of >99.9% purity is extensively tested for chemical impurities. It is readily soluble in water.

For use in density gradient centrifugation with Cesium Chloride, DNA is often prepared with Ethidium Bromide dye, which bioWORLD conveniently provides in a 10 mg/mL solution and easy-to-use dropper bottle.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
