Product Description

D-Luciferin Potassium Salt is a naturally occuring compound in bioluminescent organisms that produces light when oxidized by luciferase. When used in cell culture, it allows for highly sensitive bioluminescence detection. Luciferin was used to measure the uptake of mRNA in preparation of the vaccine against COVID-19.

This Ultra Pure D-Luciferin is of >97% purity and identity confirmed via NMR spectroscopy. It is important to keep this product shielded from light and moisture to avoid premature degradation. Luciferin can be dissolved in DMSO up to 50 mg/mL, and up to 10 mg/mL in Ethanol.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
