Product Description

EDC Hydrochloride is a carbodiimide derivative used for the coupling of primary amines. It acts as a carboxyl activating agent on amides. This makes EDC HCl a popular choice for peptide synthesis, preparation of immunoconjugates, and cross-linking of proteins to nucleic acids.

EDC Hydrochloride is >98% pure and readily water-soluble. It is most effective in coupling reactions between pH 4.0-6.0. bioWORLD carries a number of easy-to-use coupling kits that include our Molecular Biology Grade EDC HCl. We also carry an extensive portfolio of pure primary and secondary antibodies for immunoconjugation.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
