Product Description

EDTA is a popular metal chelator in microbiology applications, as well as an inhibitor to blood coagulation. By preventing the joining of cadherins between cells, EDTA can be used in cell culture to prevent cells from sticking to the media container or to one another.

This EDTA solution is prepared using Molecular Biology Grade raw materials and sterilized for cell tissue culture use. When used at low concentrations, EDTA can be used to inactivate DNase, RNase, protease, and nuclease. It is also a common ingredient in cell lysis buffers.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
