Product Description

EDTA Disodium Salt Dihydrate is a common metal-chelating agent used in biological buffers. It chelates divalent cations, making EDTA an effective inactivator of nucleases and metalloproteases. It is also used as an anticoagulant in blood samples and preservant of high molecular weight DNA in tissue culture.

EDTA Disodium Salt Dihydrate is of Molecular Biology Grade. We also offer it in a convenient 0.5M sterile solution at pH 8.0 for direct use in buffer preparation.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
