X-Gal and IPTG, Spray Bottle
Product Description
X-Gal and IPTG is a ready-to-use solution for expression studies. When applied to cell culture plates, bacteria that express the lacZ gene appear dark blue. These can then be transfered to a fresh plate and cultured for beta-Galactosidase expression.
X-Gal and IPTG is prepared using only Microbiology Grade raw materials and is non-toxic. The convenient spray bottle format allows for even spreading of the solution across an agar plate. For best results, apply to a completely cooled agar plate and allow the solution to dry for 5-10 minutes before culturing your sample. Please note: this solution is light-sensitive.
